SU Admissions 2019-2020

Sinai University is honored to welcome all the passing high school students interested in joining our University (Kantara Campus – Arish Campus).  Admission to SU is very competitive as we have limited number of seats available every year, so to increase your chance of joining our University, kindly apply early and fulfill all the steps below.

Important Rules:

  • Applicants to SU must write all needed information on the admission application form available at SU website and write their email address correctly. The English placement test results will be sent to the student’s email stated on the application form. The email address must be clear and correct, as it will be the only official means of communication between the Admissions team and the applicant.
  • Applicants must check regularly the email address stated in the admission application form and follow all payment’s instructions as mentioned below:
    • Application fees (EGP 500) for each college that the student wishes to apply for. Payment is made at one of the banks listed and sent to the student via his/her email. Applicants must present the receipt of payment upon request. Application fees are nonrefundable. The English Placement test fee (EGP 200) is paid for every retake.
    • In case of applying directly to any of SU branches or the administrative office in Cairo, (SAMA Tower), the sum of EGP 500 is added as administrative fees.
  • Applicants must book online via SU website the English placement test within 14 days from the date of their admission application.
    • Students must pass the English language test and get the required score to ensure being listed in the admission waiting lists.
      • In case of acceptance, the applicant pays the tuition fees in the University bank account number, which has been sent to him/her via email. Payment must be made within 2 business days and no late payments are accepted.
      • Administrative expenses (EGP 3000 for Egyptians – $ 400 for Non-Egyptians). Registration fees (EGP 3000 for Egyptians – $ 400 for Non Egyptians) payable at the beginning of each academic year.
    • Lab insurance fees (EGP 2500 for Egyptians – USD $ 350 for Non Egyptians) for Pharmacy students payable once in the first semester and refunded upon withdrawal or graduation in case there is no damage.
    • Lab insurance fees (EGP 3000 for Egyptians- USD $ 400 FOR Non Egyptians) for Dentistry student, payable once in the first semester and refunded upon withdrawal or graduation in case there is no damage.
    • Student acceptance is only provisional. Final acceptance is granted upon the approval of the Ministry of Higher. In case the student’s admission is denied for not meeting any of the admission rules, s/he has no right to object.

Egyptian students:

  • Original certificates (original Secondary school certificate or its equivalent + original Birth certificate)
  • Copy of the National ID card.
  • 6 recent photos (white background).
  • Namouzag 2 Gond for Egyptian male students + Namouzag 6 Gond or computerized birth certificate for all male students born in/or prior 2011.

Non Egyptian Students or Egyptian students who are Non-Than. Amma from Egypt holders:

  • Original certificates (original Secondary school certificate or its equivalent + original Birth certificate) stamped and authenticated by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs in the country from which the certificate is obtained.
  • A copy of a valid passport.
  • 6 recent photos (white background).
  • Namouzag 2 Gond for Egyptian male students + Namouzag 6 Gond or computerized birth certificate for all male students born in/or prior 2011.

Incoming Transfer Students:

  • Same documents needed whether Egyptian or International students.
  • Incoming transfer students from Egyptian Universities must submit an official transcript and a course description stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Incoming transfer students from other Universities must submit an official transcript and a course description stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Egyptian Embassy in the home country in addition to a document from the cultural attaché confirming that the University from which the student is transferring is accredited.
  • Incoming transfer students must obtain the minimum High School Certificate grade or percentage either in the year s/he obtained the high school degree or in the year of transfer.
  • A cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.0 or 65% is required for transfer.
  • Letter of enrollment from the home institution showing the enrollment status of the student and his military status (in case of Egyptian male students).
  • Certificate of proper conduct from the home institution.
