Scholarship and Financial aid

Sinai University Scholarships aims for:

Granting students Scholarships and financial aid to fulfill the goals below:
Social perspective: Aiding number of students who are incapable of incurring the tuition fees.
Academic perspective: Encourage students who achieved excelling results academically or athletically to join Sinai University whereby they will be considered models to other students, hence they will stimulate their colleagues to improve & develop themselves.
Development and citizenship perspective: Aiding Sinai residents in their learning process for the development and the reconstruction of such precious area for Egypt.

First : Sinai Residents:

1- Sinai Residents who are born in middle Sinai, acquired the high school certificate from North Sinai & his/her parents are bedouin resident of middle Sinai are reliable to grant full scholarship (100 % tuition fees & exemption from lab insurance, administrative fees, registration fees & textbook fees), in addition to a 100 Egyptian pound monthly stipend.
Noting that for the continuous of the full scholarship previously mentioned, students have to acquire GPA not less than 2 each year.
2- North Sinai residents top students ranked with first places at Sinai county high school & secondary Azhar are reliable to grant scholarship upon condition his/her percentage not least than 95%.
Noting that for the continuous of the full scholarship previously mentioned, students have to acquire GPA not less than 3.7 each year.
3- 15% exemption from the tuition fees for the sons/daughters of Sinai if they met the following requirements:
-The student has to be born in Sinai according to the birth certificate.
-One of the student parents have to be born in Sinai according to the birth certificate.
-The students have to acquire all his/her pre-university certificates (primary – prep – secondary)
-The student parent have to be working in Sinai and insured via social security for at least 10 consecutive years in Sinai, conditionally for the continuous of the exemption former mentioned students who are matching all the above points have to acquire GPA at least 2 each year.

Second : Students Excelling Academically

1- Students excelling academically in the high school certificates & secondary Azhar aiming to join Sinai University below Faculties:
Dentistry                                                 –Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Industries

Are granted partial scholarship according to the following regulations:
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 100% or above will be granted 50% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 95% or above but less than 100% will be granted 30% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 90% or above but less than 95% will be granted 20% deduction from the tuition fees.

2-  Students excelling academically in the high school certificates & secondary Azhar aiming to join Sinai University below Faculties:
Engineering Science                           –Mass Com. Technology                        –Information Technology and Computer Science
Business Administration and International Marketing

-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 100% or above will be granted 50% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 95% or above but less than 100% will be granted 30% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 90% or above but less than 95% will be granted 20% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school percentage equal 85% or above but less than 90 % will be granted 15% deduction from the tuition fees.

3- IGCSE and American Diploma students excelling academically will be granted partial scholarship
-Students acquired total high school GPA equal 4 or above will be granted 50% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school GPA equal 3.7 or above but less than 4 will be granted 30% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school GPA equal 3.3 or above but less than 3.7 will be granted 20% deduction from the tuition fees.
-Students acquired total high school GPA equal 3 or above but less than 3.3 will be granted 15% deduction from the tuition fees.

Third: Scholarships for Sport Achievements

-15% discount from the tuition fees for athletic students who achieved one of the three first places in the Egyptian republic championship & 30% discount for students who were ranked in international tournaments (Certificates accredited from Ministry of youth and sports should be submitted), conditionally for the continuous of the former mentioned discount students have to acquire GPA not less than 3 GPA each year.

Please note that:
-The Chairman of the Board of Trustees has the right to grant social scholarships (either full scholarship or discounted scholarship) for any students even if they didn’t acquire any on the qualifications former mentioned, conditionally for the continuous of such scholarship, students granted such have to acquire GPA not less than 2.4 each year.
– Full scholarship for only one student who achieved the highest GPA, conditionally his/her GPA score shouldn’t be less than 3.7 & in case many students had the same GPA, the scholarship will be divided equally among them.

*University employees & faculty members’ siblings

15% exemption from the tuition fees for the University employees & faculty members’ siblings, conditionally for the continuous of the exemption former mentioned students have to acquire GPA not least than 3 each year.
*Armed forces Martyrs or the police Martyrs’ siblings
15% exemption from the tuition fees for the Armed forces Martyrs or the police Martyrs’ siblings, conditionally for the continuous of the exemption former mentioned, students have to acquire GPA not least than 3 each year.

*Faculty members’ siblings of any Egyptian governmental University

15% exemption from the tuition fees for faculty members’ siblings of any Egyptian governmental University, conditionally for the continuous of the exemption former mentioned, students have to acquire GPA not least than 3 each year.

Brothers/sisters

15% discount from the tuition fees for brothers/sisters (same father and mother) regardless their number.

1- Full and partial scholarships are only applicable for Egyptians students who achieved excellent results academically or athletically and whom passed through disasters and hard circumstances according to the regulations of scholarships.
2- Not applicable to have any tuition fees discounts if the student is paying his/her tuition fees according to the credit hours.
3- All students’ scholarships and discounts are registered in the first semester but the deduction take place in the second semester.
4- There will be a competent office for registering all the scholarships and discounts types according to this regulation.
5- This competent office mentioned in point 4 will implement the discounts upon accredited stamped statement from the admission and registration.
6- The finance department will revise all the scholarships and the discounts regardless its type before activating it on the University system, if there’s any error or mistake detected, the finance department will refer to the scholarships competent office so that any modification in such scholarship is taken from it side (Competent office).
7- The discounts granted for brother and sisters in the University shall be considered as implicitly canceled if any of the below occurred:
* Absence of the other Brother/sister
* Graduation of the other Brother/sister
* Withdrawal of the other Brother/sister
* Last Semester for the other Brother/sister
* Postponing the study for the other Brother/sister
8- Student can only grant one discount and if any has the right for two or more discounts from the former mentioned, he/she will be granted only the highest of them.
